Our Story

Since 1968, Hair by Phd has called this Parramatta location home — proudly one of the first unisex hair salons in the area. From day one, our focus has been simple: to give every client the highest level of service and hairdressing excellence, visit after visit.

We’re passionate about more than great hair. Every visit is designed to be an escape — a place to relax, be genuinely listened to, and receive the attention you deserve, delivered with warmth and care from the moment you walk in.

Now with three salons, you’re in the hands of a leadership team dedicated to your experience: Sarkis Akle, Group Director and Director of our Carlingford Salon, Louise, Director of our Parramatta Salon, and Lemai, Director of our Camden Salon. Together they bring over 50 years of combined experience, leading a team of talented stylists through an in-house training program built to deliver consistent, expert care at every salon, every time.

I love passing on what I’ve learned to my team, so they can share it with their clients. Seeing our stylists grow, and watching clients walk out feeling a million dollars, is what makes this work so rewarding.
