Our Story

Hair by Phd was established in 1968 at its current location and was one of the first unisex Hair Salons in Parramatta. Since that time our aim and focus is to give you, our client, the highest possible level of service and excellence in hairdressing.

We are passionate about giving you the best in hairdressing, customer service and creating an environment where you can relax and get away from the world while being pampered. We give you the attention you deserve and most of all we listen to your needs.

Now with three locations the team is lead by Group Director Sarkis Akle, Louise Akle Director Parramatta Salon, Rebecca Moses Director Carlingford Salon and Lemai Wilson Director Camden Salon. With over 50 years experience between them they are committed to leading a team of very talented hair stylists, with a training program that is second to none and is widely talked about in the hairdressing industry.

I love to give back what I have learnt to my team, to share with all their clients, because at the end of the day seeing our team grow as stylist’s and seeing their clients walking out of our salon looking and feeling a million dollars, makes what we do extremely rewarding.
