One of the biggest rewards of being a hairdresser is that you get to meet some amazing people along the way. None more amazing than a long time client of mine Lesley Slender.
I have been looking after Lesley for many years now and we have shared many stories of our lives together. Our children are around the same age; we both have a love of football (soccer) and I just generally love how Lesley is so passionate about life itself.
Lesley is a very generous person in lots of ways, she is very involved in her children’s school community and through that has recommended many clients to our salons. On Saturday Lesley shaved her hair for a great cause, The Leukaemia Foundation. It does not surprise me in the least that Lesley would do something like this. Good on her I say.
She has already reached her target of $2500 and has nearly raised $3000 as I write this. I was going to make a donation but I have come up with a better idea to help Lesley. I know that we are constantly getting bombarded with requests for donations but because I think this is such a great cause, I will match everyone’s donation to Lesley’s cause with a Hair by Phd Gift voucher up to $100.
